The Massachusetts Sheriffs' Association (MSA) has sought filing and sponsorship of 20 bills for the 2005 - 2006 legislative session.

MSA's stated approach to legislation is two-fold: to serve the individual needs of specific sheriff's departments, i.e. facility and programming enhancements; and to promote and draw attention to areas of wider concern to all sheriffs, i.e., information sharing and the use of electronic monitoring.
