Healing the Pain of Sexual Abuse: A Restorative Justice Approach

The Criminal Justice Policy Coalition is pleased to co-sponsor Healing the Pain of Sexual Abuse: A Restorative Justice Approach, presented by Alisa Klein, MA.

Date: Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. (Registration and snacks 6:30 p.m.)

Location: Boston College, McGuinn Hall, 3rd floor lounge (see below for parking)

Restorative justice is an approach to crime and injustice which seeks to promote healing by holding offenders accountable for the harm they have done while engaging victims, offenders, and affected families and communities in addressing problems and repairing relationships. Alisa Klein, a survivor and consultant with extensive experience in the area of sexual abuse, will discuss how this approach is being applied with individuals, families and communities and what changes would make public policies more effective in reducing sexual abuse.

Rates are $5 more if registration received after Sept. 8.
