The Public Voice Project of City Mission Society is inviting you to join other
interested NGOs and individuals for a critical discussion of the Report from the
Governor’s Commission on Correction Reform on August 12th, from 4 to 6:30pm,
at the Episcopal Diocese of MA, Lawrence Rm., 138 Tremont Street (entrance is
across from the Park Street Station and to the right of the Cathedral Church of
St. Paul).
This Report is the final outcome of the Commission that was appointed in the
wake of the John Geoghan murder. We believe that this report is too important to
let slip by, and propose that this gathering begin a conversation that will
allow those interested to:
--share, in a structured discussion, how the Report resonates (or not) with your
own experiences in and with the criminal justice system
--arrive at a richer understanding of the report as a result of hearing other
perspectives
--explore possibilities for further engagement and uses for this report
