The Public Voice Project of City Mission Society is inviting you to join other interested NGOs and individuals for a critical discussion of the Report from the Governor’s  Commission on Correction Reform on August 12th,  from 4 to 6:30pm, at the Episcopal Diocese of MA, Lawrence Rm., 138 Tremont Street (entrance is across from the Park Street Station and to the right of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul).

This Report is the final outcome of the Commission that was appointed in the wake of the John Geoghan murder. We believe that this report is too important to let slip by, and propose that this gathering begin a conversation that will allow those interested to:
--share, in a structured discussion, how the Report resonates (or not) with your own experiences in and with the criminal justice system
--arrive at a richer understanding of the report as a result of hearing other perspectives
--explore possibilities for further engagement and uses for this report

Please review the Report in advance of this gathering.  The full text of the Report can be found at: http://www.mass.gov/eops/publications/gccr2004.pdf .
